Copper Fire Bowl
When we get our patio finished, off our deck we want to get some new furniture and I’ve always wanted a fire pit. But where we live the fire danger is bad, so I changed from and open fire pit to something a little more controlled! I’ve been looking around and found some choices. I really like this fire pit that I found. This one is great because I love using things that are recycled and it’s made from recycled cast iron and covered with copper. It has a diameter of 30″ which is a great size for our patio. To look at is click here Copper Fire Bowl

I’m always looking for something unique and interesting for my yard or garden! Since we had just finished our deck, I was lo
oking for Deck furniture. I don’t know about you but I didn’t want something you could find at the local discount department store. I wanted it to look different and it had to fit in with my garden and preferably something recycled! I found these great recycled Wine Barrel Chairs and I fell in love with them, their just perfect for our deck! Plus you won’t find them in every backyard! I know they’ll be a big hit! Their made of recycled wine barrels! Check them out-Recycled Wine Barrel Chair

Hi!
This is something new for me, I’ve never blogged before! So here it goes! I love gardening in my yard, it takes me to a quiet place in my busy life! I want to learn new things I can do to improve my garden and to share things that I’ve also done! This is a picture of part of my back yard. We have a great select of plants that have done pretty good so far in this climate. We live in Central Oregon and the climate can change from day to day and season to season! It can get pretty cold in the winters and very hot in the summers here, but we can still get frost on the hottest of summer days! We’ve had record highs this summer, it was 106 one day!
When my husband and I bought this property in 1999 we had to start from scratch. We had to add all kinds of things to our very sandy soil. Our plants consisted of Juniper trees and sage and a variety of other desert type plants, which we also love. We also have some very beautiful wild flowers!
Last year I was a very delinquent gardener! So our yard became very overgrown with weeds and grasses in places that I didn’t want them! We had decided to build our own deck after we had gotten the bids back from the Contractors (we had not saved enough for the project !!!!). It took us about a year of after work and weekends to accomplish this, but we are very proud of what we accomplished! It’s a two story deck and we had so much fun! (most of the time) So I’ve spent the this summer cleaning up the flowerbeds! It was all worth it though!!
